Tarland Golf Club is set in Royal Deeside and rewards golfers with stunning views of the countryside and is a hidden gem. Of particular note is the view from the eighth fairway across the Dee valley to the magnificent Lochnagar – memorable at all times of the year.
Designed by Old Tom Morris in 1908, Tarland is a nine-hole parkland course which represents a challenge to golfers of all abilities. Measuring just over 6,000 yards when played to 18 holes from the medal tees, the well-maintained course with its smooth greens and great fairways is certainly no pushover.
This Morris masterpiece may be small, but it is a delight to play. Combine it with the tranquil setting, dramatic scenery and a warm welcome, and Tarland provides a perfect day at a wonderful course.
